Thomas Meyer

Thomas’ areas of expertise are property and inheritance law, estate planning, employment law and public personnel law, corporate and commercial law with a special focus on start-ups, as well as planning and handling transactions under commercial law. He is also active in the field of real estate law and advises non-profit institutions as well as foundations and associations on organisational and legal issues.
Thomas studied law at the University of Basel (Master of Law, 2016). From 2016 to 2018 he worked at a civil court in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, in the legal department of a leading pharmaceutical company and as a legal trainee with burckhardt Ltd.
He was admitted to the bar in 2019 and returned to burckhardt. Three years later, he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a focus on International Business Law from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
