Sarah Salzmann’s areas of expertise and main areas of practice are labour law and public personnel law, advice on matrimonial property and inheritance law, inheritance law proceedings and litigation.
She advises SMEs, corporations and private individuals on all matters of labour law, in particular on the drafting of employment contracts and regulations. In addition, Sarah Salzmann advises and represents employers and employees in connection with the termination of employment relationships, in the assertion of and defence against claims, in matters of discrimination and equal opportunities law, as well as in all matters of hiring services.
Another focus of her work is advising private individuals on estate planning and representing both private and legal entities in the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of inheritance claims. She also regularly gives seminars on issues of marriage and inheritance law.
Sarah Salzmann completed the Foundation Board Expert 2024 training programme. As a member of the board of the “Frauenhaus beider Basel” foundation and the associations “IAMANEH Switzerland”, “Childhood Cancer Switzerland” and a Basel-based carnival clique, she also has in-depth expertise and experience in the management, governance and development of foundations and non-profit organisations.
Sarah Salzmann completed her law studies at the University of Basel (MLaw) in 2016. From 2016 to 2019, she completed internships at the Data Protection Commissioner of the Canton of Basel-Stadt, at a first-instance civil court of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft, and at Burckhardt AG, and worked as a law clerk at a first-instance civil court of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft. She was admitted to the bar in 2019.
