Jacqueline’s areas of expertise are succession issues, international trust and estate planning, real estate and charity law. She also offers the full range of notary services.
A former partner in an international law firm where she was head of the private clients’ team, she has been able to demonstrate her many years of experience in setting up and supporting international asset structures (including acting as a governing body) and in inheritance law in estate planning and the relocation of various domestic and foreign assets. In this activity as a civil law notary and specialist in inheritance law, she also benefits from the fact that she is also a mediator.
A former chair of two charities for cancer patients and a director in several Swiss and international health organisations and cultural trusts, Jacqueline also advises clients how to establish and manage not-for-profit organisations. Jacqueline uses her professional experience, among other things, as a member of the Notaries’ Supervisory Commission in Basel and most recently as a member of the Federal Office of Justice’s expert group for the comprehensive revision of the law of succession.
Jacqueline studied law at the universities of Basel and Geneva (lic. iur. 1995) and Cambridge (LL.M. first class degree 2002, Queen’s College) where she specialised in international trust law. She was admitted to the bar in 1998 and became a civil law notary two years later.
