Alain Schmid

Alain’s areas of expertise are corporate law and contract law with a specific focus on M&A transactions.
Alain studied law at the University of Basel (Master of Law 2013 with focus in business law). From 2013 to 2015 he worked as legal trainee with burckhardt Ltd, in a legal department of a leading pharmaceutical company and at the Court of Appeal of the canton Basel-City. He was admitted to the bar in 2016.
In 2020, he obtained his Ph.D. (Dr. iur.) with a thesis on the topic of rights on data funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) as part of the National Research Programme 75 “Big Data” (NRP 75).
